DRIVING DIRECTIONS

The Atlantic Music Festival, which takes place at Colby College in central Maine, is easily accessible by car, plane, or bus. The following are the distances to some major cities:

  • Portland: 78 miles
  • Boston: 180 miles
  • Hartford: 270 miles
  • New York: 390 miles
  • Philadelphia: 490 miles
  • Washington: 630 miles

The following are some transportation options to reach Colby College and the Atlantic Music Festival:

  • By car: From Interstate 95, take Exit 127 Waterville/Oakland and turn east on Kennedy Memorial Drive (Rt. 137), following the blue signs to Colby.
  • By air: The Portland Jetport, Bangor International Airport, Augusta State Airport, and Logan Airport in Boston offer commercial flights from most major airlines. Waterville's LaFleur Airport also offers landing for private and charter planes and freight services. Car rentals are available at the Portland, Bangor, and Augusta airports.
  • By bus: Concord Coach Lines provides daily service from Logan Airport, Boston's South Station, and Portland to Colby's athletic center. Greyhound offers daily service to Boston and beyond, with a terminal located at the Xpress Stop Service Station, about two miles from campus.

In addition, the Atlantic Music Festival offers shuttle services to and from Portland Jetport (PWM) during the festival season for our Institute program participants for an additional fee. To learn more about this option, please contact us.

The Atlantic Music Festival is a classical music event held at Colby College and various venues in Maine. Colby College offers free parking at various parking lots. However, visitors must park in designated Visitor Parking and comply with all Colby parking regulations to avoid any issues.
Do I need to buy tickets for the festival?
The festival offers over 30 free concerts as a gift to the community, so you don't need to purchase any tickets to attend. For events that are in high demand, we may offer advanced reservations. Information about these events will be available when our concert list is published.

The festival does not usually offer advance reservations for concerts, unless otherwise specified. For events that are in high demand, we will announce the availability of advanced reservations as we get closer to the festival season.
