Gather
Information

Before you begin the process, ensure you have all the required information before beginning your application:

  • Personal Information: Includes your date of birth and citizenship status.
  • Contact Information: Primary email address, current and permanent address, and your phone number.
  • Professional Information: Details of your educational background, awards, principal teachers, and involvement in ensembles or festivals, with relevant dates.
  • Reference Information: Names and email addresses of two professional references, one of which can be your current teacher.

Prepare Your
Portfolio

Audition Requirements are detailed on your respective program page.

In constructing your portfolio, please remember that our primary goal is to evaluate your current level of musicianship. We understand the time and effort that goes into creating audition materials, and our requirements are structured to allow you to leverage existing materials you already have.

While it's important to adhere as closely as possible to the specified requirements, we recognize that there may be instances where you might not be able to meet every detail. In such cases, focus on presenting the best material you have available. The key is to provide a portfolio that offers a clear and comprehensive overview of your musicianship.

Furthermore, our committee understands the various challenges that can arise in recording and will take these into consideration during the evaluation process.

To submit your portfolio, complete the application process online. Our streamlined online platform allows for efficient uploading of materials in various formats, including images, audio, and PDF files, and the option to embed external links such as Youtube or Vimeo. Please convert proprietary data such as Sibelius or Finale to a compatible format before submission. Candidates wishing to apply for both primary and auxiliary instruments (e.g., flute & piccolo) may submit one application with recordings of both.

Submit Your
Application

Starting your application is a simple and user-friendly process. Even if you haven’t gathered all the necessary materials, feel free to begin the application.
