Atlantic Music Festival 2020 COVID-19 Update

May 15, 2020 — Final Update

Dear Friends,

We have been closely monitoring the spread of the Coronavirus (COVID-19) and its potential impact on our community. Based on guidance provided by the government and our host Colby College, we have decided to postpone our festival season until 2021.

Our ability to face challenging times is part of our DNA. The Atlantic Music Festival began just as the financial crisis of 2008 had devastated the world. We came under the banner of Leonard Bernstein's quote, "this will be our reply to violence: to make music more intensely, more beautifully, more devotedly than ever before," providing healing through music and offering all of our concerts free of charge.

And now, during these unprecedented times, we remain more committed than ever to serving our community through the gift of music and by creating a place where musicians from all over the world can harness their full artistic potential in a supportive and idyllic setting. While we are sad to postpone this year, our mission continues with our 2021 season, set to take place between June 28 and August 8.

On behalf of the Atlantic Music Festival family, I wish to express my profound gratitude for remaining steadfast in your support for all these years.

Sincerely,
Solbong Kim
Artistic Director
