Apprentice Opera Coach Fellowship
The Atlantic Music Festival's Apprentice Opera Coach Fellowship is a program designed for gifted pianists considering a career in the world of Opera. The program offers invaluable experience in vocal coaching under the leadership of Arlene Shrut.

Program Highlights
- Fellow coaches participate in preparation of all Opera Workshop events.
- Collaborate with Arlene Shrut and artist-faculty members of the AMF Opera Workshop as well as festival artists, conductors, and composers.
- All Opera Coach fellows receive full coverage of tuition, housing, and meals for the duration of the festival season.
Important note: Opera Coach Fellowship and Piano Fellowship are two separate programs. If you wish to apply to both programs, please file separate applications using two different email addresses.
Piano Fellowship applicants are considered for enrollment in the AMF Piano Institute and Seminar whereas Opera Coach Fellowship applicant will be considered only for this program.
Audition Requirements
Submit video recordings of the following repertoire:
- Brahms
Meine Liebe ist grün - Schubert
Frühlingstraum - Barber
St. Ita’s Vision, in the original key - Debussy
Green
While recordings with singers are preferable, solo recordings are also accepted.
